About Esteban Marin

I’m Esteban Marin, a 23 year-old photographer based out of Southern California. I’ve been photographing for 7 years now, and I have an associates in Photography from Palomar College and a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts in Creative Photography and Experimental Media at Cal State Fullerton.

My conceptual photography is based around the study of emotion, psychological disorders, and the battle of the internal vs the external. This manifests in projects such as “Psychological Landscapes”, a series exploring the internal battle of the self using the abandoned architecture of California.

I also work as a performing arts photographer, covering theatrical and muscial performances all across Southern California. I’ve worked for companies such as the Irvine Barclay Theatre, San Diego State University, and Oceanside Theatre Company.

Across all my work, there is a focus on storytelling. I love capturing the emotion in a person’s face, or a photo taken at just the correct time to make it look like a painting. My photos have characters, settings, scenery, and incredibly intentional lighting.

I’ve also done professional work doing portraits, art installation, sports and motorsports photography, and videography. I am an eager, passionate individual ready to work with you on your next creative endeavor.
